Broda Shaggi Allegedly Shot While Filming Skit, Police Confirm Incident

There was panic among fans and followers after reports emerged that popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Broda Shaggi has been hospitalised following an alleged shooting incident.

The entertainer, whose real name is Samuel Perry, was reportedly shot on Sunday afternoon while filming a comedy skit under the Sango-Ota bridge in Sango-Ota.

According to sources, members of his crew quickly moved him from the scene and rushed him to Blooming Care Hospital located in the Alakuko area of Lagos, where medical personnel administered emergency first aid.

Due to the nature of his injuries, he was later referred to Duchess Hospital in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja for further treatment.

Reports indicate that the comedian is currently recuperating.

While the full details of the incident remain unclear, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that authorities were alerted after a gunshot victim was brought to the hospital.

According to police sources, detectives and patrol officers were immediately deployed to the medical facility to begin preliminary investigations into the incident.

As of the time of this report, it remains uncertain what led to the shooting or who may have been responsible.
