YouTube has unveiled its list of the Top 10 Nigerian Creators of 2025, reaffirming the power of homegrown storytelling and the unstoppable influence of Nollywood in shaping today’s digital culture. From gripping web dramas to viral skits, Nigerian creators kept audiences hooked all year — watching, bingeing, sharing, and returning for more.
Topping the chart is Omoni Oboli TV, the channel owned by renowned actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli. Her steady flow of romance-themed drama series made her not just the most-watched but also the most-searched Nigerian creator of 2025. Viewers stayed glued, episode after episode.
Coming in close behind is Itelediconstudio, owned by actor and filmmaker Itele d Icon, a fan favourite celebrated for action-packed storylines and blockbuster-style web series. Together, these two creators illustrate a wider trend: Nollywood isn’t just thriving online — it’s driving the narrative and shaping pop culture.
The announcement was shared by Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, alongside the rollout of YouTube’s new “Recap” feature, which allows users to revisit their year of viewing — from deep-dive learning sessions to late-night binge marathons.
