The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, MON, today departed Nigeria for the International Federation of Actors (FIA) Congress holding in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Dr. Rollas is leading a high-powered delegation of top AGN functionaries to the global congress, which brings together representatives of actors’ unions and guilds from around the world to deliberate on issues affecting performers, their welfare, and the creative industry at large.
During the congress, the AGN President is expected to make key presentations on the state of the Nigerian film industry, the Guild’s reforms, and its ongoing partnerships aimed at strengthening international collaboration among actors’ organizations. He will also participate fully in all plenary sessions and high-level sub-meetings, where strategic resolutions shaping the future of global performance unions will be discussed.
This marks another significant milestone for the Emeka Rollas-led administration, whose leadership continues to place the Nigerian creative industry on the global map through active participation in international fora and policy engagements.
The FIA Congress in Birmingham is scheduled to host affiliated Actors Union leaders from over 80 countries, reaffirming AGN’s commitment to global visibility and professional excellence.
The Congress is held every 5 years and this is the first time the Actors Guild of Nigeria will be participating in the congress
