Global Creative Leaders Urge Nigerian Actors to Unite Under Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN)

In a significant show of international support, the presidents of leading performers’ unions in New Zealand, Sweden, and the United Kingdom’s British Equity have called on Nigerian actors worldwide to formally align with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

The global leaders stressed that the strength of any creative industry lies in unity, structure, and collective representation. They affirmed that AGN remains the legitimate and recognised umbrella body for Nigerian actors, both domestically and in the diaspora.
According to them, film industries across the world have achieved progress, stability, and global influence because their actors operate under well-organized professional bodies. They expressed confidence that a unified Nigerian acting community—speaking with one voice through AGN—will accelerate:

Actor welfare and protection

International collaborations and co-productions

Professional development

Nigeria’s visibility and respect on the global stage

Their joint message was clear and inspiring:

“Nigeria’s creative power is unmatched. United under AGN, your impact will be unstoppable.”

This international endorsement marks a major boost for AGN’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its membership base and reinforce the collective influence of Nigerian actors worldwide.
